Welcome to the Challenge Website!
The Lakeland Ten Tops 24 hour Triathlon Challenge is the purest, hardest and most scenic triathlon available
in England.
It involves a 2 mile swim across the widest part of Derwent water in the beautiful Borrowdale Valley. You then face a 101 mile bike ride over the six high passes of the Lake District, including the awesome Hardknott with its 30% incline. Finally you will run, walk and stagger 45 miles round the four highest mountains. Altogether you will climb over 20,000 feet (6,100 metres).
It is just you pitted against the elements and the stunning but unforgiving terrain. It is you chasing the clock before it strikes 24. It is you better trained than ever, pushing yourself to the limit. It is you creating a memory you will never forget.
If you dare to dream you can do this, read on, but be warned………… It may take over your life.
